Everything you need to know about BookReelz

Account & Storage

Storage depends on your tier: Free trailers are kept for 48 hours, Standard trailers for 30 days, and Premium trailers for 90 days. We send a warning email approximately 24 hours before a trailer is scheduled for deletion so you have time to download it. If your trailer is about to expire and you need help, contact support right away with your job ID — we may be able to help, but files cannot be guaranteed after deletion.

Final trailer and cover files are hosted on our secure cloud storage so downloads are fast and reliable. Public download URLs begin with media.archieboy.com — this is expected and safe. If a download link doesn't work or you prefer a direct copy, contact support with your job ID and we'll assist promptly.

General

Yes — write your exact narration on the Create page (any tier, including free), or when redoing a trailer or editing in the Trailer Studio, and it is recorded word-for-word, nothing rewritten. Leave the field blank and AI writes your script automatically from your book details. Aim for roughly 50 words on a free trailer, 75 words for a 30-second Standard trailer, or about 150 words for a 60-second Premium trailer.

Yes — all trailers include AI-selected background music automatically matched to the tone you choose during creation, mixed into the final video at a level that complements the narration. There is no separate music picker on the initial creation form — the tone selection drives the music choice. Standard and Premium customers can change this anytime afterward in the Trailer Studio, choosing from nine mood tracks with instant previews.

Yes — after your trailer is generated, the preview page shows a scene-by-scene breakdown: each scene displays its AI-generated image and the narration text that was used. This lets you see exactly how your story was visualized and can help you decide whether to use a do-over to refine any scenes.

Yes — after your free 20-second teaser trailer is ready, an "Upgrade to HD" button appears on the job page. Clicking it carries over your book title, author, blurb, cover image, and tone automatically; just pick Standard ($29) or Premium ($49) and proceed to payment. Your existing free trailer stays in your library.

If SelfPublishing.pro referred you to BookReelz, your book title, author, genre, blurb, and cover image are pre-loaded and waiting. Go to My Trailers and look for the "Pending Setup" section at the top — click "Continue Setup" next to your book to open the Create form with everything already filled in. Just pick a tier and click Create to get started.

Yes — on the Create page, choose the SelfPublishing.pro tab in the "Import book details" section. Start typing your book title or author and select it from the list; click Import to pre-fill the form with your title, author, blurb, genre, and cover image. Your SelfPublishing.pro book must be registered with the same email address as your BookReelz account. If no books appear, check that both accounts share the same email or contact support.

Yes — every completed trailer has a public share link you can copy from the job page. Anyone with the link can watch your trailer without needing a BookReelz account. Your trailer page also has one-click share buttons for X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram so you can post directly to social media.

Yes — on the payment page you will see a coupon code field. Enter your code (it auto-capitalizes) before clicking Pay and the discount is applied at Stripe Checkout. Codes are single-use per customer. If your code is not being accepted, double-check the spelling or contact support at hello@bookreelz.com with your job details.

Our Terms and Conditions are at bookreelz.com/terms. They cover author submissions, AI-generated content, public sharing, and the payment and refund policy specific to BookReelz. You will also be asked to agree to them before completing a paid checkout.

Yes — a free BookReelz account is required to get started. Registration takes under a minute: sign up with your email address or sign in with your Google account. No credit card is needed for the free 20-second teaser. Once logged in, go to the Create page to begin.

If your trailer shows a failed status, the job page will display an option to try again. Failed or errored attempts do not count against your do-over allowance — you can retry at no cost. If your job stays stuck or the retry fails, contact us at hello@bookreelz.com with your job ID and we'll investigate promptly.

Yes — on the My Trailers page, each trailer card has a delete button (trash icon). Clicking it permanently removes the trailer and its files from your account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, so make sure you've downloaded any files you want to keep first.

Yes — the Premium Packs page (bookreelz.com/premium-packs) lets you buy bulk trailer credits in two flavors. Cinematic packs (3, 5, or 10 credits, as low as $35 each) each make one 60-second trailer with talking AI characters cast from your book, full Trailer Studio access, and a 10-minute pool of video do-overs. Premium packs (5, 10, or 25 credits, as low as $19 each) each redeem as a Standard-tier trailer — a 30-second cinematic trailer with no watermark, our 20-voice narrator library, background music, Trailer Studio access, and a 1-minute pool of video do-overs, at no extra charge. Credits are added to your account immediately after purchase and never expire.

SelfPublishing.pro gives the richest import — title, author, genre, blurb, and cover image in one click, and it is the recommended starting point if your book is listed there. ISBN is a solid fallback for public metadata. The Amazon URL tab is also available but may fail when Amazon blocks automated requests; use it as a last resort. All options are found in the Import book details section at the top of the Create page.

Premium ($49) is our most advanced trailer: upload your manuscript (or import one from SelfPublishing.pro) and we automatically cast 2-4 talking AI characters from your story, generate their portraits and lip-synced dialogue clips, and assemble a 60-second trailer around them. Fiction and memoirs get talking characters; idea-driven non-fiction automatically gets a documentary-style trailer with cinematic motion scenes under a narrator instead. Premium also unlocks the Trailer Studio (same as Standard) so you can fine-tune the result, plus a 2-minute pool of video do-overs (text, image, and timeline edits are unlimited).

The Trailer Studio is the editing workspace included with every Standard and Premium trailer. From your job page, open the Studio to regenerate a scene image or character portrait, re-render a talking clip or filmed scene with new direction, adjust narration, music, and the scene timeline, and rebuild the trailer once you're happy with your changes. Re-rendering video draws from your do-over pool (1 minute on Standard, 2 minutes on Premium); everything else — text, images, timeline order — is unlimited.

Once your free teaser finishes, a one-time $9 'Keep It forever' button appears on the job page — it removes the BookReelz watermark and hosts that same teaser permanently instead of it expiring after 48 hours. It keeps your free teaser exactly as-is; it does not add scenes, extra narrator voices, or Trailer Studio access. If you want a longer trailer with more features, use the Upgrade button instead.

When your trailer finishes, the completion email includes one-click star links so you can rate it instantly with no login required — you can also rate it from your job page anytime. Ratings help us track and improve trailer quality, and a lower rating gives you a chance to tell us what to fix.

Visit bookreelz.com/narrators to browse and listen to the entire narrator catalog — all 20 natural voices, including four British narrators, are available on every tier, from the free teaser through Premium. Preview any voice there before you start your trailer, or choose your narrator directly during creation.

Yes — if your free teaser is rated 3 stars or less, a free "Second Take" option appears: edit your book description, tell us what missed the mark and what you'd like to see instead, and we'll remake your teaser from scratch at no cost. This is limited to one remake per free trailer, and it replaces your current video with the new version. Paid Standard and Premium trailers use the Trailer Studio and do-over pool instead — see "Can I regenerate or redo my trailer?" above.

Yes — when creating your trailer, check "illustrated book" and upload your book file (EPUB, DOCX, or PDF). We'll pull your own interior artwork from the file and animate those pages instead of generating new AI scenes. This works for any genre (picture books, comics, graphic novels, and more), not just children's books. It's best-effort: if your file doesn't contain enough usable illustrations, we automatically fall back to AI-generated scenes so your trailer still completes.

Free teasers render on a faster, more economical video engine, so motion and detail are noticeably softer than our paid tiers. Standard and Premium trailers use our highest-detail video renderer for sharper, more cinematic motion. Upgrading to Standard or Premium re-renders your trailer on the better engine in addition to removing the watermark and unlocking longer runtimes.

Yes — on the Create page you can upload up to two reference images (a character portrait, a specific animal, a location, or a piece of book artwork) alongside your cover. We match each image to the scene it actually supports rather than inventing a stand-in, and the same look carries across the other AI-generated scenes too. It is optional — skip it and every scene is generated by AI from your book's description.

It's an optional note where you can steer the AI toward what matters most in your book — a key relationship, a plot focus, or a detail it should never get wrong (like a character's real job). One clear sentence there outranks any ambiguous wording in your book description, so use it when your blurb could be misread or when a specific detail absolutely must appear.

AuthorPass is a book-promotion bundle from our partner site SelfPublishing.pro — it includes a free cinematic BookReelz trailer for your book plus a dozen-plus other promotions (editorial review, ARC campaign, press release, author website, and more) for $148 today ($99 first-book setup + $49/month). Choosing it takes you to SelfPublishing.pro to complete the purchase and set up your book; if you're signed in here, we securely carry over your name and email so you won't have to register twice. AuthorPass is entirely optional — you can always buy a BookReelz trailer on its own instead.

Getting Started

Simply upload your book cover and blurb on our Create page. We'll generate a free 20-second cinematic teaser (watermarked) with no credit card required — the demo is available for 48 hours. To get longer, watermark-free trailers with Trailer Studio editing, upgrade to a paid tier from the Create or Payment page.

Payments

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) through Stripe Checkout. After selecting your tier you will be redirected to a secure Stripe-hosted page to complete your purchase — no card details are entered on our site. You will receive a receipt by email once payment is processed and trailer creation begins immediately.

After payment is processed, trailer creation begins immediately. You'll see the job in your account where you can track progress, and we'll email you when the trailer is ready. Creation time depends on tier and current queue (see typical timing in the FAQ). Once complete, downloadable video files and social-ready formats will be available from your job page.

We review refund requests case-by-case. If your job failed, a file is corrupted, or you were double-charged, contact support with your job ID and payment details so we can investigate. If a refund is approved, funds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 3–10 business days depending on your bank or payment processor.

Pricing

Current pricing (shown at checkout): Free — a 20-second cinematic teaser with real AI motion video (watermarked, 48-hour download window, no card required). Standard — $29 for a 30-second cinematic trailer with real motion video, no watermark, Trailer Studio access to fine-tune it, and a 1-minute pool of video do-overs. Premium — $49 for a 60-second trailer that casts talking AI characters (or a documentary-style trailer for idea-driven non-fiction), plus Trailer Studio access and a 2-minute pool of video do-overs. All trailers currently download as a single landscape 16:9 video. Final files are hosted on secure cloud storage for the tiered retention period.

Support

The fastest way is the contact form on our website or emailing hello@bookreelz.com. For quick questions you can also text or call +1 978 643 8662 (text is usually quickest). Phone contact is limited, so if you need help with a trailer please include your job ID; we typically respond within a few hours.

Our contact form has a minimum message length (about 50 characters) — if your message is too short you'll see a note asking for more detail. It also has quiet spam protections running in the background, so a legitimate message should always go through on the first try. If the form still won't send, email hello@bookreelz.com or text +1 978 643 8662 and include your job ID (if applicable) so we can help quickly.

On your job page, open "Couldn't play, hear, or download the video?" underneath the star rating, pick the issue type (playback, audio, download, or other), add a note on your device/browser, and click Report technical problem. This is separate from the star rating — use stars to rate how well the trailer captured your book, and this report for anything that's actually broken. For urgent cases you can also contact support directly with your job ID.

Trailers

BookReelz officially supports 23 narration languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Czech, Slovak, Croatian, Greek, Finnish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Indonesian, Malay, and Filipino. Pick your language on the create form — every narrator voice speaks all 23, and both the narration and the on-screen closing text come out in your language (your book title stays exactly as you wrote it). Want full control of the wording? Use the optional narration script box and we narrate your words exactly as written, in any supported language.

Using BookReelz

Trailers usually finish in minutes, but times vary by tier and current queue: Free/demo jobs typically finish in ~1–2 minutes; Standard ~2–3 minutes; Premium ~3–5 minutes. You can watch live progress in your account and we'll email you when your trailer is ready. If a job appears stuck, contact support with your job ID so we can check the pipeline.

It's a target, not a strict cutoff. Narration always plays at a natural, unhurried pace and the visuals stretch to match it, so a Standard trailer may run a little over or under 30 seconds (and Premium a little over or under 60) depending on your script length. This keeps the audio and images perfectly in sync rather than sounding rushed.

Yes. Standard and Premium trailers open in the Trailer Studio, where you can regenerate scene images or character clips, rewrite the narration or dialogue, swap the narrator voice, reorder scenes, and change the music — text, image, and timeline edits are unlimited. Re-rendering video (a new filmed scene or character clip) draws from a video do-over pool: 1 minute on Standard, 2 minutes on Premium. Failed or errored attempts never count against your allowance. If you need more video re-renders than your pool allows, contact support with your job ID.

All BookReelz trailers currently download as a single landscape 16:9 widescreen video — there is no separate vertical or square export on any tier right now. If you need a different aspect ratio for social platforms, you can crop or reformat the 16:9 file yourself, or contact support with your job ID and we can advise on options.

Yes — you can select a narrator/voice during creation, or choose "BookReelz chooses for me" and we will match the voice and performance to your book. Every tier, including the free teaser, includes the full 20-voice narrator library (16 general narrators plus 4 British performances) with tap-to-preview. Preview any voice at bookreelz.com/narrators before finalizing. If you need help picking a voice or want to change the selection after purchase, contact support with your job ID and we'll assist.

Paste a public Amazon book URL on the Create page — or just the bare ASIN/ISBN — and Auto-Fill will attempt to grab the title, author, description/blurb, and cover image to speed up trailer creation. We accept links from most Amazon country sites and shortened links (a.co, amzn.to). If Auto-Fill still fails, copy and paste your book details manually — you can always edit fields before creating the trailer. If you are still having trouble, contact support with the Amazon URL and we will help.

Yes — on the Create page, open the Import book details section and click the ISBN tab. Paste your ISBN-10 or ISBN-13 and click Auto-Fill. BookReelz will attempt to pull the title, author, blurb/description, and cover image to pre-fill the form. If the lookup fails (older books or missing metadata), simply copy and paste your book details manually — you can always edit fields before creating your trailer. If you need help, contact support and include the ISBN.

We do not create graphic violence, explicit sexual content, or imagery with extremist insignia or real-world atrocity scenes. Our generation pipeline automatically rewrites sensitive prompts into tasteful, symbolic cinematic language to avoid explicit harm while preserving tone. If your story involves sensitive historical topics, please describe them carefully and contact support if you need advice — we can help ensure the trailer is handled respectfully.

Yes. On the Create page, use the "Where to Buy" section to choose Amazon, all major online retailers, "Coming soon" (if your book isn't published yet), or a Custom URL to your own site — we add that as a line on the trailer's closing card automatically, no manual editing needed. Prefer not to mention purchasing at all? Pick "Don't mention purchasing." You can also change this later: open your Trailer Studio, scroll to the final "Outro" segment in the timeline, edit the card's call-to-action text, then click Rebuild. The link on the card is text (video files can't contain clickable links on any platform), so for a tappable link also paste your store URL into the caption or description wherever you post the trailer — YouTube description, Facebook post text, or next to the embedded video on your site. Your trailer's public BookReelz share page is also a handy link-friendly place to send readers.
